About:

Our inner lives shape our actions in our outer lives

Alongside my work as a professional violinist, I decided to broaden my knowledge and also pursue my other passion professionally: human (self-)awareness. Understanding how our inner life shapes our outer experiences is essential for personal growth.

As an integrative coach and counselor, I bring my experience as a musician into my work. Music has taught me how closely inner experience and expression are connected—an insight I also apply in supporting people through their personal development processes.

I currently work in my own integrative coaching and counseling practice, both online and in Haarlem. My practice is for people who feel stuck, are seeking change, or are looking for professional support to rediscover a sense of fulfillment. Whether you are dealing with an inner conflict, burnout, stress, work pressure, anxiety, loss or grief, letting go of old beliefs, or a desire for personal growth, I support you with warmth and empathy.

Coaching/counseling qualifications:

I completed my training at the Nederlandse Academie voor Psychotherapie, where I earned several diplomas, including Integrative Coach & Counselor and PSBK (Medical and Psychosocial Fundamentals, CPION accredited).  In addition, I am an accredited Professional Certified Coach (CPION, SPHBO), a certified NOBCO Professional Coach Practitioner, and a certified EMDR Practitioner.

I am a member of the Psychosocial and Social Work (VPMW) within the professional association NFG. This division welcomes counselors and therapists trained to at least EQF Level 6, which corresponds to a four-year higher professional education (HBO) degree. The NFG maintains high standards among its members by requiring ongoing peer review and professional development. Additionally, the NFG provides support in resolving complaints. I adhere to the NFG's professional code of conduct.

Music Bio:

Alongside my journey as a versatile violinist, where I engage with a broad spectrum of music—from baroque and jazz to contemporary compositions—I have embraced another rewarding path: exploring historical performance practice. My fascination with the evolution of music and its instruments has been a driving force behind my artistic growth and expression.

This passion has led me to collaborate with renowned ensembles such as Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique, Freiburg Baroque Orchestra,  the Orchestra of the 18th Century, and Il Faro Quartet. These experiences have allowed me to blend historical authenticity with the vibrant energy of modern performance. I have also had the pleasure of serving as a guest leader with orchestras like Anima Eterna, English Baroque Soloists, and The King’s Consort, as well as performing with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, The Concertgebouw Orchestra, and other ensembles—opportunities that have broadened my musical horizons and deepened my connection to the music.

In addition to these collaborations, I had the privilege of holding the position of concertmaster for the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra and the Metropole Orchestra, where I led performances that celebrate both tradition and innovation.

Currently, I am the Director of Jumpstart Jr. Foundation, a musical instrument fund based in Amsterdam. In this role, I focus on preserving and promoting the use of historical instruments, ensuring that the timeless beauty of this musical heritage continues to inspire and influence future generations. My work constantly reminds me of the profound connection between history and music and it continues to inspire me in everything I do.
